From Saint Louis Art Museum:
This little girl's portrait shows her wisps of blonde hair peeking out from under a large, dark blue hat. The soft features of her face look away from the viewer and are surrounded by the artist's quick pastel strokes. Mary Cassatt was an American Painter and Printmaker who studied in Paris and became a member of the Impressionist circle.
