William Uhde (1874-1947) was a German art expert, author and a Galerist. It was born in peace mountain, studied in Munich and in Switzerland first jurisprudence and was suitable then in Italy, particularly in Florenz, extensive art knowledge on. 1904 it established itself in Paris , where it began works of at that time still unknown artists Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque opened to buy and a gallery on the Montparnasse.
