The Agnes Etherington Art Centre holds over 16,000 works of art, with major concentrations of contemporary art, Canadian historical art, Baroque-era paintings of the Dutch Golden Age, and African art. The Canadian collections include fine early topographical watercolours and major examples of 20th-century painting, and embraces Inuit and Indigenous art, as well as historic dress and decorative arts reflecting the history of the region. The historical European holdings are of exceptional quality and depth. At their core is The Bader Collection, with nearly 200 paintings including three by Rembrandt. The contemporary art collection is largely Canadian, with strong representation of socially and politically engaged art, and major examples of electronic art.

The Art Gallery of Sudbury was established in 1967 as a Centennial project of the Sudbury and District Chamber of Commerce. Originally operating as the Laurentian University Museum and Art Centre, the gallery was incorporated in 1997. Housed in a turn of the century mansion, the former residence of lumber baron William Joseph Bell, the gallery has a unique architectural appeal. The collection focuses on three main areas. The first is twentieth-century Canadian art, with an emphasis on art created since 1950, so as to parallel the history of Carleton University. The MacLaren Art Centre is an art gallery and museum, located in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. It houses many important Canadian works of art. It is named in honour of Maurice MacLaren, who bequeathed his Victorian home, Maple Hill, to the Barrie Gallery Project in 1989. The Gallery has a large and varied collection of paintings, drawings, sculpture and photographs. Although its focus is on Canadian art, it holds works by many noted American and European artists. It has a strong contemporary art collection with some of Andy Warhol's most famous works. In 1990 the Gallery bought Barnett Newman's Voice of Fire for $1.8 million, igniting a storm of controversy. Since that time its value has appreciated sharply. In 2005, the Gallery acquired a painting by Italian Renaissance painter Francesco Salviati for $4.5 million. Its most famous painting is likely The Death of General Wolfe by Anglo-American artist Benjamin West.

The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre is an art gallery and studio located in a heritage building circa 1891 on the banks of the Niagara River. The pumping station supplied water to the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake until 1983. The Pumphouse Art Centre Association was formed in 1990 and through community effort, the building was restored was converted to a visual arts centre in 1994. The gallery of the 21st century is no longer a mere repository of work, however, but rather an active site of engagement, inspiration, co-creation and community. The Robert Langen Art Gallery (RLAG) is the university’s visual arts centre. RLAG oversees art collections and policies across Laurier’s multicampus milieu and organizes visual arts programming that inspires, challenges and expands learning beyond the classroom.

Rodman Hall is home to a permanent collection of over 1,000 objects including paintings, drawings, prints, and sculptures by Canadian, American, and European artists from the past three centuries, and a growing focus on contemporary Canadian art. In 2012, Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky donated 40 of his photographs, documenting his internationally celebrated career, to the collection of his hometown gallery. Selected works may be on view throughout the year.

The Rotunda Gallery is an open-concept space located on the ground floor at Kitchener city hall. It is open 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. weekends and holidays. The gallery's hanging wall has a 48' picture rail and 48" of vertical hanging space and features monthly exhibits of the work of regional artists.

The new Shenkman Centre provided a much-needed cultural event venue in the rapidly growing eastern sector of Ottawa. The main theatre seats roughly 1,000 and has all of the technical facilities to handle anything from a magic show to an orchestral or vocal performance.

The Tree Museum is open from May 1st to October 31st. The site is not wheelchair accessible. To see most of the art, you have to climb up rocks. There is no traditional Museum Building. The sculptures are in the woods and on the rocks. This is a hike in the woods. The path is uneven. Bring water. There is no washroom; there is an outhouse.
