From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
Suzanne Bambridge Teriimarama (born about 1844 - died December 26, 1911) is the daughter of Thomas Bambridge, first representative of the family Bambridge installed in Tahiti, and his wife Maraea O'Connor. It is famous because in 1891, Paul Gauguin painted his portrait, now on display at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts in Brussels.
She is of English origin by his father, born in London in 1801, and Irish by his mother.
